Captain Herb Webber
b-17 memphis belle
confedarate air force
van bortel aircraft
Herb is too busy flying to write a bio, so I'll try to capture just a tiny bit for you. He took his first lessons in 1939, then went on to fly in the Army Air Corps, B-17s over the Atlantic.
After his military service, he had a full career at American Airlines, flying everything they had to include the 707 and 747.
Herb found spare time to fly the B-17 Sentimantal Journey and Heinkel He-111 for the Commemorative Air Force.

He is now miserably flunking retirement as the Chief Pilot for Van Bortel Aircraft and flying full time for Hilliard Energy on the Cessna 441, delivering new Cessnas with the latest avionics around the planet.
