Herb is too busy flying to write a bio, so I'll try to capture just a tiny bit for you. He took his first lessons in 1939, then went on to fly in the Army Air Corps, B-17s over the Atlantic.

After his military service, he had a full career at American Airlines, flying everything they had to include the 707 and 747.

Herb found spare time to fly the B-17 Sentimantal Journey and Heinkel He-111 for the Commemorative Air Force.
